Combining Evidence and Expert Opinion
The primary objective of our consensus panel programs is to create current, consensus-based recommendations to support healthcare providers in the assessment and treatment of a target disease.
A set of consensus-based recommendations are developed using a modified Delphi panel method to systematically and quantitatively combine evidence and expert opinion. Panelists are asked to review, comment, rate, discuss, and revise the recommendations over the course of a series of pre-meeting assignments and consensus panel meetings.
The results of the consensus panel program are documented in a comprehensive report. Panel members have the option of participating in the development of a manuscript for publication of the outcome of the consensus panel.
